This time is  now for Computer Science and Internet.<\/p>\n<p>Just think of military or  politics, current events could be perfectly identified with events from  the past: another dictator in Africa, another hated or loved president,  another war in a foreign country,\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Computer science goes the same, there was a time for Thomas J. Watson  (IBM corporation) and for Edsger Wybe Dijkstra (\u2018GOTO considered  harmful\u2019). Decades later there was a time for Gates and Jobs. Later on  others would come: Yang, Page, Brin, Izaza, Zuckerberg and so on.<\/p>\n<p>Now the wheel is completing another turn: Gates is out, Jobs is in his  way out, Google is firing workers and doubt about privacy is all over  \u201cSocial networking\u201d. Some bloggers are even arguing about who will be  remembered in history books: <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.computerworld.com\/gates_will_be_a_chapter_in_history_jobs_a_footnote\">Gates<\/a> or <a href=\"http:\/\/www.forbes.com\/technology\/2009\/01\/14\/steve-jobs-legacy-tech-personal-cx_bc_0114jobs.html\">Jobs<\/a><\/p>\n<p>This new turn of the wheel comes with new rules yet to be clarified and  new players yet to be named, but one more time we will only have to  change names and places.
